Chippers: the characteristics and uses of the machines

Chippers are used to perform chipping operations, that is, to eliminate branches, trunks and twigs, even large ones (up to 88 cm in diameter). The result is flakes of wood of various sizes, used as mulch or to feed wood and pellet stoves and boilers. The chipper models on the market allow different operating intensities due to the greater or lesser power of the engine; moreover, they are equipped with devices so that they are more and more reliable and last over time. For example, chippers can be driven by a tractor or an autonomous engine. The main tool of the chippers is the flywheel; moreover, the machines are equipped with a system for the rapid assembly and disassembly of the blades, so that maintenance times are reduced to a minimum.

The C14 chipper: the characteristics of the model

One of the chipper models on the market is the C14: it is an agricultural machine available both in the diesel-powered version and in the tractor-driven version. This particular model is particularly suitable for shredding large branches and branches resulting from pruning: in fact, it eliminates trunks with a maximum diameter of 14 centimeters. The C14 is a product with a wide and varied diffusion on the market, characterized by a robust and very reliable structure. In addition, it is equipped with a centralized system for bearing lubrication and a no-stress device. The latter allows you to electronically control the two self-aligning hydraulic drive rollers with independent motors, so as to protect them in case of overload. In addition, the tool is equipped with two fixed blades and an adjustable counterblade.
